• 10/17/2002 - Gnometab-0.7.0 released. Changes include:
  • Total code restructuring and deprecation cleanup, including several bugfixes and performance enhancements.
  • A Preferences dialog has been added, and fonts are now configurable. You can now publish tablature in all kinds of eccentric fonts.... Beware: some fonts work better than others. Be sure to check print preview.
  • Toolbars and menus have been lightly over-hauled, hopefully for the better.
  • Rests have been properly implemented.
  • Zoom level is now stored with GConf and restored on startup.
• 08/21/2002 - Gnometab-0.6.2 released. Changes include:
  • Print preview cleanup. It now functions.
  • Canvas zooming buttons have been added to the main toolbar. These may not last.
  • Some more printing tweaks and adjustments.
  • A few RPMs are now available.
• 07/10/2002 - Gnometab-0.6.1 released. Changes include:
  • Makefile fixes for GConf.
  • An option to render chords above the tablature rather than inline has been added.
  • Some printing tweaks and adjustments.
  • Gnometab now remembers window size.
  • Bug fixes....
• 06/08/2002 - Gnometab-0.6.0 released.
  • Multiple chord libraries can be created; users can switch between chord libraries on the fly. Consequently, Gnometab now depends on GConf (but no more ~/.gnometab nastiness).
  • The chord library display is now sorted, and the display updates synchronously as chords are added or deleted.
  • Grid spacing has changed to more appropriately accomodate high (2-digit) fret numbers on the tablature. Sadly, this change makes Gnometab-0.6.0 incompatible with Gnometab files created with earlier versions. Hopefully that won't happen again....
  • Finally, there is better keyboard support for entering text on the tablature (and the chord builder), and some stupid toolbar buttons have been removed.
  • The Gnome 1.4 version of Gnometab (version 0.4.x) has been abandoned for lack of time. Porting the above changes to Gnometab-0.4.x is provided as an exercise for the bored.
